Sophie started Preschool!!!! I can't believe it. She was so excited and looked so darling. I couldn't even show her that I was devastated to have her leave. Here in Florida preschool is everyday for 3 hours a day. She is in a little private preschool where they have to wear uniforms. So here she is on her first and second day, modeling (of course) her two different uniforms.

Sophie Girl I love you so much! I am so proud of you and can't believe how fast you are growing. I miss you so much when you are away from me. Even if it is only for 3 hours it feels like forever. You need to stop growing and stay my little girl. Like your daddy always says we wish we could freeze you to stay this age forever!! You are our perfect little princess girl! Have a fun year at preschool!!

Damon Barron Bateman was born on May 28th, 7 lbs. 7 oz. 20 inches. He was 2 weeks 2 days early. Mom was doing everything to get him here early!!! She wanted to meet him and didn't want to be pregnant any longer. We were so lucky to have Grandma Cheryl and Grandma Renee come along with Aunts Sydney and Braquell.

Damon is the perfect puzzle piece into our family! He has been nothing but a joy in all of our lives!!! We love him soooo much. We are so blessed to have him in our family and surprise he looks just like his DAD! Of course 3/3 Batemans, 0/3 Barron looking children. HAHAHA!!

May 4, 2011 Michael J. Bateman turns the Big 3!

I can't believe my baby boy is 3!!! I love this kid more than anything. He is so stinkin handsome and so full of life. He is fearless and a real life super hero. MJ is mommy's champion and daddy's buddy. Most days I pray for strength to be able to mother him, but I couldn't be more grateful or blessed to be his mother. During the day I feel like I am going to need therapy to handle you but every night all I want to do is get kisses from you. I Love You MJ! You are a choice special child and I am so happy that the Lord saw fit to bless me with you.

You are only weeks away from being a big brother and I can't wait for you to teach baby Damon all your great skills. You will be the best big brother! You are so sweet to little babies and I know that Damon can't wait to come and play with you and be one of the buddies! Mom, Dad, and Sophie Love You so Much CHAMP!! Happy Happy Birthday!!

So let me give you a quick run through. It has been an amazing couple of months! Let me start off by saying we were so lucky to have my incredible inlaws come for Christmas. The Bateman family came to south Florida for 10 days. We spent 3 days in Miami and then went up to Orlando for a week. Of course enjoying Disneyworld and Universal Studios Island of Adventures. It was sooo very much fun. But wow it was crazy at all the parks. But everyone was good sports and fought the crowds. Our family was absolutely spoiled!!

Next thing you know here we are at Valentines Day! I just have to say how lucky I am to have an incredible beautiful family that I get to spend this LoVe day with. Especially my amazingly special husband. I love you babe!!

Bonus tomorrow We are off to UTAH aaaahhhhh!!!! It has been a year since we have been back and I can't hardly wait to see everyone! I have the greatest family ever and I can't wait to spend the next couple of weeks with them.

We opened presents from the Barron fam before we left! Thanks for all the gifts!

My bro. in law BJ was the best sport and basically took over MJ for the trip. Seriously this is how it was all the time MJ all over BJ. Thanks BJ!! Any ideas on how to break the thumb sucking habit??

Yes it is true, we are having our 3rd little baby. We are so excited! Sophie can not wait, she talks to my belly everyday telling the baby to get out. I couldn't agree more it has been a pretty rough pregnancy and I feel like I've done my time, unfortunately we are only half way. But I have convinced myself this will be the most perfect baby ever. I feel like I deserve that after dealing with my "special boy, MJ" oh how I love him!

Today is my beautiful girl Sophie's Birthday. She turned 4! I can't believe it. I am devastated that she is growing up so fast. She will start preschool this year, next year highschool, boys and dating, then college, then she will be gone.AAAAHHHH!! It will all go so fast. These four years have flown Mike and I just want her to stay small forever. Never grow up!

Daddy was so sad because today is his first final he had to leave so early, he wanted to start her birthday early so he could be here. So 6:30 the presents began.

I am sitting here looking at my little girl laughing to myself as I find myself thinking and doing things that my parents did!! Things I swore I would never do because it bugged the Heck out of me. What have I become????

*If you ever asked my dad for any type of food, he would always take a bite first. The hugest bites out of apples.

-I do this every time to my kids food, especially apples.

*I hated doing chores every week growing up please I had such better things to do.

-If all my chores aren't done every saturday morning, everybody else gets the wrath. I am so happy sunday morning.

*I could never understand why we had to clean our house before we left on vacation. We use to always say, "mom this is so dumb why do we have to clean? Incase someone robs our house and thinks oh wow this house is clean."

-Basically I like a constantly clean house.

*When my kids ask why? I tell them "because I said so and I'm in charge"

*I couldn't stand waiting for my dad to check all appliances to make sure they are off before leaving somewhere.

-Ok I admit it, I don't want something to start on fire.

*This is so little kid of my mother but I love it, randomly my mom will buy a candy bar for herself while grocery shopping. Then keep it in the cupboard for whenever she desires.

-I love to do this! Come on we mothers deserve it!!

*My mother and mother in law always kept the good treats in a different cupboard. A little higher up than most could reach.

-Mike makes fun of me for doing this. "this is so something my mom would do," he says. But come on the Jordan Almonds deserve a special place. They can't be eaten lightly!

I guess at some point we become our parents. And I am perfectly ok with this to a degree, hahaha. Mike and I have the greatest parents in the World. We Love you guys!!!!!!

Today Sophie had preschool, she loves this day. So do I as it gives me the opportunity to spend a little time with just my Champion boy. I don't know what it is but for some reason when he is by himself he truly has got to be the best kid in the world. But when big sister is there that is questionable??? He is such a Stud and so Handsome. He melts my heart. I just love him! I know that Heavenly Father gives me these little moments to remind me just how fortunate and lucky I am to be a mom Thanks MJ for a fun morning! I think we would both agree that sometimes nothin' tastes better than Fries and Diet Coke ;)

It is ok to have a sulky day right? I was just listening to Michael Buble' and the song Home was on and truly this is a little silly to admit but I started crying. "I want to go Home" Sometimes we just want to go home and that is ok no matter what age we are. I know I know home is where you are but honestly to me there is nothing like Utah. I love the seasons, I love that all my family is there. I miss not being apart of every little thing. I know you're all thinking that's crazy a Barron girl wanting to be involved in every detail, hahaha!
Don't get me wrong I love it here in Florida where the kids and I can go to the beach or pool any hour of the day morning or night but will it ever COOL Down PLEASE, the answer, NO! And I am so sure that my husband is loving me wanting to talk to him about every detail of the day and everything that I hear about, right? Men love that?! Especially amid all the Law School Studying and Work!
Plus I wish I could see all the Football Games, Soccer Games, Cheerleading, my new nephew Broxton, etc. I hope all of you family out there know how much we love you and wish we could be part of everything and then see everyone on Sunday and talk about it all over again.
Well there is my Bree moment, my little pitty party is now over.

Sophie got her very own IPOD, well it is her daddy's old one but it has been converted to the perfect little girl toy. Dad put every Disney Song, Primary Song, Disney Movie, and of course Sophies favorite song right now California Girls by Katy Perry on her fun IPOD. I guess MJ got a little jealous, so I left Sophie in the kitchen and found MJ watching movies on Dad's phone. Technology these Days!

Naturally what else would my son be doing while he is suppose to be taking a tub?

Sophie's first day of "Preschool" A group of my friends are doing a little preschool class once a week. Sophie was so excited for a backpack and school. She was just bugged that she didn't have a bus to ride.

YeS, Finally, the double jogging stroller. I am so glad my kids are willing to let me take them on long hot runs in the Florida SuN!

A long night children alarms at 12, 3, 5, 5:30, Dad took care of the kids in the morning and look what happens. Cinnamon Rolls and Sprite! Yes Sprite at 7:30! Mike took this picture to prove that Dad taking care of the kids in the early morning probably not the best idea.

Uh, Yea, this is what I found MJ doing the other day. It was too quiet which most mothers of children under the age of 4 know means the children are doing something they are not suppose to. So I walk into MJ's room to check on him and this is what I find. Oh YES the warrior with his sword on his back, riding his HuGe Black Stallion Horse. This is Classic!!! I had to run and immediately grab the camera. Priceless! Poor Palepaly which of course is the name Sophie has given this black Barbie Horse holding my BiG 2 year old! Ok so I haven't blogged for like a month and yet it has been such an InCrEdIbLe one. Let me start the whole thing off by saying We Moved!! Yep that is right we moved from well I am a little embarrassed to say but I will, for those of you who didn't know we lived in a tiny one bedroom apartment, no it is not a freakin joke it is real. We lived in a one bedroom apartment to save money living a law school student loan life and I couldn't be more grateful to have moved into a beautiful, mansion might I add TWO bedroom apartment. It feels like hEaVeN! Everyone can walk around comfortably and not run into eachother, yea!

Next best thing my sisters and my dear Aunt Verdalee came out and visited us!! It was a slice of the good life, I was in depression for three days after they had left. Those of you who know me probably know that I am pretty close with my family and this is the longest I have ever been away without seeing them, I couldn't believe it until they got here. We had the greatest week, here are some pictures of our activities, of course these are all phone pictures seeing as I kept forgetting to charge my camera, I know so typical of me and not even a hard task, oh well. Our activities were, Beaches, Swimming, Eating at all kinds of restaurants, Cheesecake Factory, The Melting Pot, Olive Garden, Eating all kinds of treats Peanut Butter M&M's, Mike and Ikes, Carmel Bugles, Milk Duds, laffy taffy, Cheesecake, chocolate fondue and yes the result of everyone claiming to go Anorexic after the over indulging week, chatting non-stop, movies, more chatting, and of course LAUGHING!

um yes Grandma did send a matching outfit for Sophie just like Aunt Brae's, incase you are confused Braelynn is playing the HoRsE.

I know all my sisters are saying, "I can't believe you put this picture up!" Don't worry I told everyone I used a wide angled lense, haha! Um, where did the skinny sister come from, ha ha you know we are all just jealous Quell!oh yes Shopping of course, this is what happens when they don't take their nap! she slept this whole shopping experience. True Barron girl, we can sleep anywhere!

Cow appreciation day at Chick-Fil-A. chick-fil-a gave free meals if you came dressed up as a cow. Since a cow costume is not something I have on hand, i quickly threw together cow costumes the Renee Barron Girls Way, no sewing, just tape and construction paper! Sophie absolutely loved it. MJ was not that big into it until we got there and he got to play in the play place with his buddies. We went with Jada, Callie, and Kim. It really was good times!

Can't go wrong with Chocolate Milk, Chicken Nuggetts, and Fries! MJ was all about that!

Happy 4th of JULY everyone! We are so grateful for so many things and are so fortunate to live in this beautiful America and all the opportunity it provides. We are a little bummed we missed out on Carrie Underwood and the amazing Utah Festivities but we are so thankful that we got to spend this 4th together as a family with these perfect children.

Instead of Stadium of Fire, we had the best time out on the Golf course having a little family game. We get to golf for free anytime we want with Mike's job so we take advantage of it. I said to Mike that I really wanted to play a game not just the range, trust me I didn't have to twist his arm at all. He was thrilled, even thrilled to bring a 3 and 2 year old out on the course. It rained the whole time so no one was out on the course. It was so perfect and so fun. Mike and I played the kids ran all over, chased the ducks, had adventures in the forest as they call it, MJ raked the sand traps and Sophie had plenty of performances and poses! Then we topped it off with a Little Caesars pizza, can't get a better deal than a $5 pizza, as Mike says.

Yea, Aunt Bryn was here for the past 9 days!!! We all loved having her here. Especially me, she was my constant buddy to chat with. As you all know I hate silence and being alone. So bless ya Bryn thanks for being willing to be my sidekick! And thanks for not complaining about our close quarters and your early wake up calls. Sharing the room with a 2 & 3 year old isn't the most perfect situation. This is a picture of Sophies "little bed" she calls it. So instead of putting up our queen mattress that would take up the whole floor we got Sophie her own little sleeping bag. She thought it was so AwEsOmE! Naturally as soon as we laid it out for her she needed to get in it and pretend to be sleeping. Also MJ wasn't going to miss out on any of the action, so he jumped in. We are use to being close!!We had so much fun with Bryn. Lots and Lots of fun in the sun. We went to three different beaches, but I think one of our favorite days was at South Beach. We were hoping to see famous people of course because they always are portrayed as just walking around, we are convinced we saw a couple of big famous athletes,(right Bryn.) Anyways we went on Lincoln Road which is right next to the beach. It is a huge shopping area. Just for Fun we went into one of the shops and looked at a dress. Don't worry the price was only $1,800. It would barely cover the necessities too. But wow the lifestyle of the rich and famous. Luckily thanks to Bryn she treated us to Hagaan Daz Ice Cream, unbelievably good! So here is a picture of us right after the yummy ice cream!

p.s. TWILIGHT, Bryn and I went to the midnight showing!!! AAAHHH!!! truly amazing of course. We loved it and even stayed awake for the whole thing. I have absolutely convinced myself that the more I fall in love with Edward, the more Michael John looks like him, haha! Baby you are truly my Edward!!! I LOVE YOU!

Ok so I need to have a Bree moment here. Do you ever ask yourself Why??? Why Me?
Why can't I sleep in, eat a donut or 2 for breakfast with a big glass of chocolate milk and not have to worry about it?
Why do I have to wake up early and work myself out to the point of throwing up just to get in a swimsuit that day?
Why can't I have perfect hair that will work in humidity?
Why do I always feel like I am glistening in sweat, while the other girls seem to be needing a sweater?
Why is my child the one pulling out a handful of the darling little girls hair on the playground?
Why do we have to grow up and realize it won't get done unless we do it.
And then while sitting and asking myself all of these ridiculous questions I ask myself???
WHY WOULD I WANT IT ANY OTHER WAY, this is me and who I am and I wouldn't change any of it, (ok maybe the sweating part and my child being the little terror on the playground) but I love my life and it is those situations and things that we learn from and are so grateful that our life is what it is. At least my child is capable and physically healthy to play on the playground and live through the Hard Spanking and lecture he received from it. (Still not sure about the sweating thing, I probably would be lying if i didn't say I do really want to change that, hahaha!) Anyway thanks for letting me vent for a minute, Love ya all!

In the summer a movie theater chain does free childrens movies. You can just walk into the theater, bring your own snacks, sit down and enjoy. It was really so fun. The kids had the best time with our best friends the Wernli's. The kids were so excited to go. Here they are posing right before we left.I know, I know these hats are pretty classic huh? MJ found these in Wal Mart and put it on. I thought it was so cute on him so I let him get it but BoNuS it was 2 for 1. Therefore both children were happy for a great deal. Brae I know what you are thinking right now, "you are kidding me." I'm totally one of those people that swore I would never buy goofy things like this, and yet here I am. Lightning McQueen here we are. I just have to laugh, because even looking at this picture I think,"No I didn't buy this for him." But if you only all knew that he has worn it everyday since. Even worse, because not only did I buy it and swear I never would, I also swore I would never let my kid wear it in public, WRONG AGAIN! Good thing he has his Michael Jordan shoes on to balance out the goober in him, hahaha!

The kids have been so into Disney's Cars lately. They were thrilled when we found this little car park in the mall. MJ brings all his cars in a little bag everywhere we go. The other night I caught him playing in his room lining up all of his cars in a perfectly straight line. I walked in tried to help and put the car in line backwards. And boy did I get the lecture, he had every headlight lined up and every bumper. I was then asked,"go out mom!" It's great to be a Kid!!!

Here we are making the classic Froot Loop necklaces. It was really so much fun. But once again just like the noodles. MJ's necklace ended up non existent as all his cereal ended up in his mouth before even coming close to ending up on a piece of yarn. Sophie did enjoy the snack as well but ended up with mom's help making her necklace which successfully hangs up on the fridge now. And of course you've got to love her pose of holding up her #1 sign with her finger. This would be thanks to all the many different cheer events she has been to in her young life! GO SOPHIE!!

7:30 a.m. Monday, May 17th, Bateman family on the road headed to the place where "all your dreams come true," Disneyworld!! So So excited!!

On the tram leaving the parking lot headed to the Monorail to enter the Magic Kingdom, all SMILES so far!We Made it just take a look at Cinderella's Castle just waiting for my little princess Sophie to grace it with her presence.Of Course of all the rides one of my childrens favorites was the Classica Carousel! No Joke, we rode this ride 5 times in a row. Our kids truly loved all the rides, they just hated to have to get off of them. That was the real battle!Day 2: Headed into Hollywood Studios. My Sophie Girl striking a pose, get her picture face on early in the morning!Day 3: Animal Kingdom! Yea Jada is here!!Waiting in line for the rapids, Sophie and Jada were so excited they met the height requirement. Finding Nemo Show with Kim, Jada, Bree, and Soph.My Handsome Boys!On the African Safari, this was so fun for the kids to see all of the animals. Day 4: Back to the Magic Kingdom. This was Classic MJ trying to pull out the Sword in the Stone! He would get so upset when it wouldn't pull out. His face and body language said it all! Even though he didn't pull it out, he is definitely our KING! Love you Champ!!We truly enjoyed our little family vacation! Thanks babe for being the greatest Disney Dad!! Ok truly I know what you are all thinking, no I do not do this at home for Sophie to see and then try and have her practice it. This is purely my little girl literally everytime we are almost anywhere saying mom," please take a picture of me and I will pose, ok!" I don't know what to think of it, hilarious I know but should I be worried that my daughter wants to be or thinks she is a runway model. Oh well if she does I think she is. The funniest thing about this is now MJ is so use to his sister saying "mom, pose" that he will do it after her. It's almost as if he is making fun of her but you can see in the solo picture of MJ that he is posing with a leg flip and a super cheezy grin. I think/hope he is just teasing!!! So I have always been told an old wifes tail that when your child is 2 yrs. old you are suppose to measure them and double whatever the height is and that is how tall they will end up being. So on May 4, 2010 we measured MJ. The first time mom measured him and he was 35 inches. But his father who is bound and determined to have him be 6'4" was not to pleased so he measured him again. Made sure he was standing straight against the wall and boom he was exactly 36 inches. So we are all going to start hoping and praying that this kid breaks the 6 ft. mark. Come on MJ! You can Do IT!

Let me start off by telling my little boy that he is the sweetest thing in my life. Let me explain as a new born MJ wasn't the cutest baby and I was a little weirded out because Sophie was such a perfect beautiful baby but Sophie never wanted much to do with her mom. MJ's first night in the hospital he snuggled up to me the whole night and from then on I knew he was my little prince charming. He has always been a kind of a momma's boy in a good way, meaning he is sensitive. He is also kind of a pain in the bum too but I love him so much. I love that he is so rough and aggressive you don't get more boy then him. I love that he is so into sports and is so naturally good at them. I love that whenever he gets hurt he comes up to me and says, "mom, kiss it better." And once I do everything is o.k. I love that he wants to jump off everything no matter the height. I love when he throws his arms around my neck and with a big squeeze says, "I love you so much." I love that he says all the things he's not suppose to because he heard mom say them once. MJ you are truly special and a choice young boy. Mom and Dad are so lucky that you came to us. We Love You. You are and will always be our CHAMP -e- ONE!MJ wanted donuts instead of a cake, so we put the candles in the donut. Uh yea don't judge me I spaced the candles, so yes they are just matches, sshhh he'll never know.

Yesterday was Mike and My 5th anniversary. It was such a fun day. We thought we would start the celebration by going out to a little diner by our house for breakfast. Shortly after receiving our food MJ was playing around in the booth and boom hit his mouth on the table hard. He immediately starts screaming and blood is gushing. Yep, his top front teeth went straight through his bottom lip both sides. I was a little freaked but Mike calmly grabbed MJ and we were out of there. Within 5 minutes of the injury MJ stopped crying and was back to his old tricks. The slit wasn't big enough on the front for stitches so we cleaned him up put on some medicine and gave him some popsicles to keep the swelling down. The sad thing is he already has ear infections right now so he is on antibiotics but the bonus is he shouldn't really get any infection. "Happy Anniversary" my husband says to me with a chuckle. So true, what can you do but smile and laugh together. Lucky for us that evening we went to the ChEeSeCaKe Factory, one of our absolute favorite places. Naturally it was absolutely unbelievable. The kids were so amazing and we had such an enjoyable evening all together!

First nose bleed, created by her younger brother MJ. It was an accident the two were playing with mom's crochet needles and somehow MJ's got up Sophies nose and the crying began, shortly after came the blood. Sophie was not so sure about putting toilet paper up her nose to catch the blood. So I took it out. We came out of the bathroom and immediately little MJ looks at Sophie and with the sweetest little voice says, "I'm sorry Sophie, I' m Sorry" how sweet is that?! A couple of minutes later Sophie comes out with this huge roll up her nose. Now it is pretty cool because she has fixed it herself. She wore this around for about 15 mins. Don't worry the blood had stopped about 2 minutes into it.The sweet hug and love afterwords.

On Friday night we took the kids to the horse track. We had so much fun the kids loved seeing the horses race. But they had more fun at the little play place inside the track. They met these twin brothers Jarelle and JD. These little boys loved Sophie and MJ and ran the whole park with them for a good 25 minutes. They were so darling with the kids.

I love when these two can play together. One minute they are best friends and the other they are enemies. They are so sweet together when they want to be. As I talked to my beautiful mom the other day a little discouraged and holding back the tears as Sophie and MJ had been at war for what seemed like the whole day. She kindly and loving said to me "Well I hate to say this but payback is a (you all know what goes in the blank) All I can say is thank you mom for surviving it through Brigg and I. I've heard the stories and amazingly enough my mother is still alive to tell them. It will all work out in the end. I am living proof as my brother and I are best friends. He is an ultimate example to me and the best brother! While on this topic I also need to thank my sweet mother in law as I am sure, no I know that Mike and her boys put her through the ringer. Pretty sure it was mostly Mike! But Thank you to these amazing Mothers who did a great job and are still around to smile and laugh about it. I LOVE YOU!

I have learned that my little princess, amazing dancer, and perfect poser girl Sophie is a total beach babe, bum, surfer girl whatever you want to call it. She loves the beach and the pool like no other. She loves to crash into the waves and go out as far as she can by herself without even hesitating. She is a cautious girl but when it comes to water you can not stop her. I love this about her and the cutest comment after the beach while I am rinsing her down as she is a little concerned about the little sand in her tiny rump she says "mom I love Florida so much!"
Then I have MJ who looks more like a beach bum with his dark skin and he is o.k. with the beach and the pool but would do anything to throw, catch, or swing at any ball. For this I am so happy that I have a little energized athlete I couldn't love him more. I am continually amazed at how natural he is at everything and how he can pitch himself the ball and hit it for a home run. Although at times he is my trial I couldn't be more blessed. I love him dearly and I am so proud of him.

I have the most amazing children and love them so much that it's crazy. Where would I be without these little pieces of Heaven. That my Heavenly Father has entrusted me with.

Today Sophie decided to bring Sadie with us to the pool so she could push her just like "how mom pushes MJ." I told her of course you can bring her but just remember Sadie can not go into the pool or she will get ruined. "Of course Mom" she says. So I had to snap this picture as we were walking it was so stinkin cute and of course my darling little girl posed. Now I know you are thinking with a son like mine Sadie had to of ended up in the pool. Believe it or not she didn't. I did have to save the doll and the stroller from going into the pool a couple of times but it was a huge success. Then classic little girl comment as we are walking home from the pool, Sophie gets about half way and "mom i can't push Sadie anymore, my hands hurt." So imagine me pushing the double stroller and the tiny stroller I am sure that was quite the picture! Then Sophie says "Mom pushing Sadie makes me nervous" Nervous! where did that come from big words for little girls. She obviously has heard that around. I can't tell you how many times I say that makes me nervous when MJ pulls out the Knifes to play swords or insists on standing on the ledge to jump off whatever possible.

Today I had to go get an oil change and my tires rotated. I called yesterday of course to get an appt. so that I wouldn't have to wait forever with two little children. Naturally it still took 2 hours, Unbelievable!! Fortunately the first hour we walked around town and made a pit stop at a Dunkin Donuts to kill some time. They were alright but Sophie pretty much thought they were the best thing she had ever tasted therefore 2 of the 3 donuts we got were inhaled by her alone!! (Truly my daughter) "Step away from the donut sophie." As said to me many times by my own mother. So I was pretty pleased with myself on my oil change because I had a coupon of course while sitting at Dunkin Donuts I receive a call, "Mrs. Bateman we can't do just a regular oil change on your care you have to have the special much more expensive one" Naturally i thought to myself just put it on my tab, please and eventually start taking my limbs!

Look at the chocolate on that face. Also notice my son in the background of course trying to climb the door. Why would he ever just sit down?

Our Primary did a little easter egg hunt activity. It was a cute idea, instead of each egg having candy. Each egg had an object in it that symbolized the true meaning of Easter. They told the story of Christ and the resurrection. My kids loved to be there with their other primary friends.

Disneyworld Jar, Donations accepted!!

Growing up my family went to Disneyland at least once every year, sometimes twice if we were lucky. We always went with my cousins the Deerings. These are some of my favorite memories!! We would prepare for months to go. Whether it was making classic family shirts so we all were the same. (Not that two mormon families with lots of kids didn't stand out enough.) Lets just all dress the same. But seriously I loved that we did this. Another thing was My mom would give us these jars and as we were good and did jobs we got paid big money to put in our jar and that was our money to spend however we pleased at of course the happiest place on earth! Well I am so excited to say we, our little family of four is headed to Disneyworld!!! I can hardly wait!! So I decided to do a jar for Sophie. Now lets realize our law school living situation we may not come back with any toys but Sophie may have enough money to buy her own CHURRO! Inside Day! Nacho's anyone?

So today is a rainy day, boo! Which means it is an inside day of activities with mom, Soph, and MJ. Well what shall we do? Build castles, built trains, color (2 times),dress up (at least 4 different outfits) lunch, movie time. MJ successfully napping AAAHHHHH! a little girl time. So Sophie and I decide to make some nacho's. Classic snack at this Bateman home and at the Barron home as well, little chips little cheese, little mango salsa! Oh yea we are talking the good stuff. So my little smarty pants Soph, is so wise in her selection of Nacho's. If there is no cheese on that chip then there is no Nacho in Sophies mouth. Therefore she so generously eats all the good chips and kindly hands mom the plain ones. I have taught her well!! And to prove she is truly my daughter, after the first plate of Nachos is successfully gone, she ask for some more. Of course being the mother and knowing that the nachos are not helping my figure. I agree but assure myself I won't eat any. WRONG again, come on who am I kidding!

Library Time and of course The Park, March 16th

Another beautiful day at the park. So after library time we walked to one of our favorite parks where the kids had too much fun. They were spinning on this little saucer type thing and then beginning to fly. Listening to them laugh was priceless.

Amazing I know the socks with the shoes. But you can't help but let them wear it when they are so proud of themselves because they got dressed themselves.

Library time, the kids love to go read a huge variety of books. The closest library to us is Broward Community College Library. They actually do a really great job in the childrens section. So yes it is 2.5 miles from our home and to cut back on gas money I have decided to walk as many places as I can within reason. I did walk to the library today with the children it was great. The weather was so beautiful I didn't even break a sweat. Unfortunately who even knows how long that will last.

Yes we were out at the pool today. No the water was not warm but bless my babies hearts they were in it. Sophie swam around no problem, MJ jumped in full on cannon ball and came up screaming, jumped out and didn't get in again. Alright so by far the favorite things this week were:

#1. Sophie saying everytime MJ acts up and needs a little discipline lesson "Mom he is being so "Ffridiculous" Yes that is an F in front of ridiculous. It is the cutest thing you have ever heard. I wonder where she heard that word.

#2. Sophie making the comment to her mom and dad " What the heck is going on" Yes out of the mouths of babes.

#3. In primary they have been talking about the creation. So Mike and I have been talking to Sophie about plants, trees, flowers, and water so she will be prepared for primary each week. Well Mike explained that water keeps us clean and it helps all those things to grow. He told her that trees make the air clean and help build houses. Sophie has got it down pat, so shortly after we quiz her on the new knowledge she has received we then hear her teaching MJ and quizing him. If he gets it right she is so happy for him and says "Oh good boy MJ"

#4. When MJ gets into trouble, (which is never come on) sometimes it means he has to go into his bed. Well I caught him disciplining sophies baby doll Sadie and immediately she was thrown into the crib with a harsh "no baby"

Our children are always watching and learning from us good or bad, yikes!!! We'd better all be GOOD!

This past week has just been the most beautiful weather. We went to the park on Monday. Cafe a Latte' Fun on Tuesday, Park on Wednesday, Rainforest Cafe Playplace on Friday and Beach on Saturday. The Kids love being able to run around and play outside and so do I haha!

Oh my seriously, I know I have just stunk at blogging the past couple of weeks. But I have a memory card full of pictures galore, I will put them up soon. But as you can see here are our most recent family pictures taken by my lovely sister in law, Bryn, who by the way also changed my blog so it is actually cute!!! The Barron family finally got family pictures it has only been somewhere around 6 or 7 years since we did it and my how our family has grown!!! #1 MJ continually drooling, look close I am pretty sure you can see it hanging off his chin in almost every picture. (seriously shouldn't he be done with that by now, WOW)

#2 Sophie and her continual leg pop pose for all pictures. Such a girly girl, I couldn't ask for anything better.

Happy Halloween everyone! We had so much fun. We went to our friends the Wernli's were we ate and went trick or treating in their neighborhood with them. Sophie and their little girl Jada are best buds. They were both fairy princessess and loved it. They literally ran through the whole neighborhood arms out to their sides telling us they were flying. It was so precious and adorable they had the time of their lives. As a mother it made me so happy to see my children just love life. OK Now, Come on, Seriously could you get a better looking football player, HECK NO! This costume just fits MJ. People kept saying wow he really looks like a football player of course his father couldn't be more proud. MJ was so funny after every house he insisted on looking in his bag to see what the people had dropped in and then he would eat it as he is running to keep up with the fairy princessess. Needless to say when we emptied the kids bags, Sophie's had twice the amount of MJ's. I have to also thank Mike because while I took pictures and chatted he was a good sport and went up to every door with the kids. Thanks Dad, you are the GREATEST!!
It has been such a fun day and a fun week. I have to say I have never been able to go swimming outside on halloween or remember a halloween that I didn't have to wear my winter clothes under or over my outfit. This was a new way to celebrate!

Our ward had a fun halloween party. It was a great turnout and we all enjoyed chilli and corn bread. The kids loved running through the gym and playing with their friends.

The past couple of weeks our family has been very humbled in realizing how blessed we are to have the Most amazing family. Family is Everything. Thank you so much to all of our family. So Since it has been a couple of weeks since I updated my blog as you can imagine their have been plenty of favorite things but a couple that stuck out in my mind were:

Today was MJ's first day of Nursery and he seemed to enjoy it. When picking up the kids I asked sophie how it went with MJ in Nursery with her. She smiled and so cutely said in her little voice,"We are good friends"

The other day sophie walked into the bathroom laughing about something MJ had done and said,"Mom that is PRICELESS"

MJ yelling with his dad at the BYU game. Yelling GO GO and Yes at the ONE TOUCHDOWN we scored. Then Mike asking MJ, "MJ are you going to be better than Max Hall?" and MJ answering without hesitation "YEA!"

Orlando Temple

Our stake had a big Millenial Day Temple trip on October 23. The goal for the Stake was to have over 1000 endowments. That would be the most endowments done in one day ever in the Orlando temple. We achieved the goal and did over 1100. We were grateful to be part of that day.

Oh the days of dressing up and being characters. Here Sophie is dancing in her sleeping beauty dress with her dancing partner Sleeping Beauty. Listening to the song Ever Ever After. Of course the dress comes off and on about 20 different times, "make up your mind Sophie." But I have to remind myself that is what us little girls do. My mom can confirm that I loved to play the parent trap, I had to be each twin changing non stop. Or the memories of Playing Rozz (esther williams) from on an Island with you. And yes to my cousin Whitney I was always Rozz that is what you get when you are the older cousin, haha!!

Miami Metro Zoo

The Zoo was so much fun. The kids absolutely loved it. We saw everything, Lions, Tigers, Bears, Zebras, Elephants, Gorillas, Giraffes, big Lizards, etc. The zoo is huge and all the animals were out and moving (unlike hoggle zoo, blaahhh). It was a blast. MJ and sophie loved making all the animal sounds. And yes I was so proud of Sophie she was good to hold her little need to go potty as I would carry her running trying to find the nearest bathroom. She is the BEST!!

MJ's Buzz

MJ's hair was starting to get a little to long and shaggy. It was so darling with it's bleached out blonde highlights but it is just to hot here, therefore mom gave him the buzz. I think he is just so way to good lookin. Even sophie thinks so. She loves to give him kisses. Funny story the other day in the tub, sophie explained to me that MJ is like Eric and She is like Ariel. So darling so Sophie!

So I know that I don't go into the most detail about our weeks. Therefore I have decided to start this little Favorite things this week, comments, stories, whatever.
The winner this week is.....

Sophie loves to sing right now. We sing every disney, barbie, primary song, Taylor Swift, song that we know. She does it everywhere, at the pool, grocery shopping wherever. People always smile and comment at the store but my favorite by far this week was her singing Taylor Swifts " you belong with me" she sings it word for word. The best is that she is always making faces like she is performing and she closes her eyes on the high parts to really, you know hit those notes. Mike said his favorite is when she sings "Cinderelli, Cinderelli night and day Cinderelli" you know the song from Cinderella.

One more favorite this week:
We decided to try and go to the drive in movies. Mike and I love movies and since going out on a date is a little impossible we thought oh a family activity like this would be sooooo fun. So fun let me tell you we had Cirque de soleil going on in our vehicle. I don't know what was best MJ changing the station so music is blaring, Sophie acting like she is driving honking the horn or one of them pushing all the buttons in the car and changing the a/c to the heater. Seriously an absolutely amazing experience. (Quell I definetly needed a diet Super sized haha)

Fun in the Sun

We love Swimming. We have to brag because Sophie can swim the whole pool. She is such a little fish. Deep end, shallow end you name it she swims it by herself. (Yes Dad, don't worry I still am always watching her.) The kids and I swim everyday, but swimming is always better if daddy can come. The kids love their dad. When he is home that is all they want. And that is all I want. So we all have to share. Man we love our Dad!!! Everytime we go to the pool or out in public I have 3 or 4 people comment on MJ's skin and how tan he is. The other day at the pool a young lady from Brazil asked if my husband was darker skinned, italian or some other race. Because my son is so dark. I kind of giggled and said nope my husband is a fair skinned american boy.

MJ flexing is priceless. We got the kids some blocks and they love to build castles. The highlight though is when Sophie puts so much thought and effort into her castles and MJ immediately runs through them, kicking them over and yelling ooohhh! Sophie of course breaks into tears and MJ starts laughing. Gotta love it!

This is our little friend Taija. Mj just loves her. She had her #1 Birthday. The kids had a lot of fun. As you can see my daughter was the closest one to the cake and I had to stop her from blowing out the candle. Of course she was the first to have a lick of icing.
