Silly Kids

Sophie on her cell, Hello Where is everyone??? MJ wearing dads helmet we have to go through this every morning while dad is trying to leave. Sophie of course posing, I had to show her hair and how curly it is. I thought she was losing her curl but ever since we have been here the humidity has revived it. MJ and Sophie are playing war with moms tongs, thank heavens I have two of them and they are the exact same, lately they always want what eachother has and of course I only have one of each toy. I can see my life changing two of everything the exact same to keep the peace. I don't know if you can read MJ's shirt but it say CUTE by DAY ADORABLE by NIGHT so true.

Our New Miami Home

So here are the babes enjoying our daily routine of swimming at the pool. I am so proud of the kids neither of them are scared of the water almost to a fault MJ thinks that he can jump off any wall any step and be just fine. Needless to say this is fun for the kids and a little bit of a work out for mom. Thank heavens it knocks them out for Nap Time. Don't all of us mothers love that!!!

"Welcome to Miami"

Well Hello Everyone we are here! It seems a little crazy but we have been living in Miami for over a week now. I am starting to realize that this is not a vacation but I can't complain swimming and playing with the kids still feels like it. We are loving it!! I feel like the kids have become enemies and best friends. They either play together great or they are fighting non stop. I think I might understand just a little bit what my mom has told me Brigg and I were like for all those younger years. Mike is loving school and is studying all of the time. He finds just enough time for us that I can survive successfully without a DIET 24/7!(hahahaha Quell) Anyways being away from everyone has been a bit of a struggle for me I am not going to lie. Mike says it is ok if I want to cry just as long as I do it while he is not here. I can say that the tear flow has stopped but I want to tell all our family that you are the greatest, we love you so much and we do miss you.
The cutest thing ever is that the past couple of days Sophie has been calling everyone on her little cell phone. She starts every conversation out by addressing each of our syballings by name telling them about her day and then she ends every conversation with "OK bye, see you later" The best thing is that she pauses in between each comment as if everyone is responding. Priceless!!!

Bateman Lake Powell Trip

We just got home from Lake Powell and we had a BLAST!! Every summer the Bateman's go to Lake Powell and stay on a houseboat. We had fun with Grandma Grandpa aunts uncles and lots of cousins. Sophie and MJ had the time of their lives. We were so proud of Sophie she absolutely loved swimming in the lake and yes she did cliff jump. Thanks to her Uncle BJ who she absolutely adores she trusted him to jump off a cliff with her in his arms. Sophie and MJ love to be with their aunts and uncles. Here is a picture of Dad cliff jumping a couple of times. We went through so many amazing canyons and enjoyed Grandpa's boat. Wake boarding and tubeing were the big hit. Everyone was trying to master all of their mad skills. Sophie and MJ were so good about wearing their life jackets. Thanks Grandpa, Grandma, Devin, BJ, Bryn, Makayla, Syndey and Robbie for all of your help in making this such a fun trip and helping me to not be stressed out of my mind with two little one's on boats and in water for a week. You are all the Best!

Tumbling Sophie

Alright so seriously I have to brag on my little 2 year old. Soph started taking a tumbling and dance class. She is so stinking cute she is the youngest one in the class but she has super good coordination. She has now mastered the forward roll and handstands. Her kartwheels and roundoffs need just a little bit of work. I know these aren't the best pictures but every time I would try and take her picture she would not pay attention. Hmm!! I wonder where she gets that from?

Arizona Vacation

In June the kids and I went with my family to Arizona for a little vacation and to celebrate some big events. It was my cousin Kyle's farewell and my cousin Whitney's darling little girls baby blessing. It was such a fun weekend. Bitter sweet it is hard to say goodbye to our amazing cousin Kyle but he is doing what is right. I absolutely love him and I know that he will be an amazing missionary in Guatemala. Not only was it one of the last times I would see him for two years but My brother Brigg flew in just for the Sunday events and that was the last time I would see him for a couple of months.
